Part 1: It's Alive!

Welcome to our 2025 Campaign, "It's Alive!" True to the spirit of GG Tees and the adventurers who visit our shop, we're running our own RPG campaign. As the year goes on, we'll develop the story of four heroes as their world is under attack by a powerful foe! Your choices determine their fate, week to week... as long as you're subscribed to emails, that is. 

Email subscribers are the first to see story updates, and they are the only ones who influence the story. 

Let's begin!

Part One: Meet Our Heroes

In the basement of The Hair of the Hellhound (the local tavern), a group of four coworkers are cleaning up after a long shift.

"I got three!" says a halfling with a sense of pride. "Nice, Grim! Five for me," replies the goblin Bogflug. "Just one over here," shouts Letty, a cat person, from behind some fresh kegs of ale. "But look," she continues,"Blande's got like 10!"

An unremarkable human in greige clothes (that's like grey and beige) steps into the light with ten dead rats hanging from a stick. "Ten exactly," says Blande.

"That makes eighteen. Not bad," cheers Letty, "but we'd get more for a full 20!"

"Oh I'm sure there a few more upstairs on the tables that Grim hasn't cleaned yet," Bogflug scolds, and adds "this place is a dump!"

"But this dump gives us something to do!" Blande adds.

"And!" Letty shouts, "selling these rats gives us extra coin in our pockets. Thank Jeeje for that new meat vendor and their amazing kebabs! The people here can't get enough!"

Grim chimes in "alright fine. I'll head upstairs, CLEAN UP, bash a few rats, and get our haul together for drop-off in the morning."

The crew agrees, and they all finish closing up, and make their ways home.

Hours later, in the dead of night... the dead rats... begin to stir.
